I sell and service metal detectors along with using them under all conditions. This detector frankly would be lucky to find a garbage can lid under a sheet of newspaper. It will find coins alright, but the field from the coil is very weak. You can not get the coil underwater in most cases because many leak at the connectors at the coil. The cable is of lesser quality than the major brands like Garrett, Whites, Tesoro and Minelab. Many that buy these toys are getting it for a child and this would be a big disappointment.

Ordered this item for daughters birthday, received ok but it is cheap and not what we expected. Did what company asked, requested a return RMA NUMBER, waited a week, nothing from them and no email contact, emailed Amazon and had return # that afternoon!
I had to contact them yesterday returned on 09/08, they received 09/10 and no refund or email. Emailed them again, with copy of delivery confirmation from USPS, I was emailed yesterday was told she contacted their warehouse and waiting for credit to be issued that she would tell me that afternoon, well NO she did not. This company is not to be trusted. Thank goodness that Amazon is a trusted company and is looking out for their customers. If I do not hear from them today, I will contact customer service at Amazon again, I know I will get an answer that way.
