With such a rich history, England is an amazing place to go metal detecting.
I hope I’ll get to do that someday.
Congratulations on your finds.

You may need a licence on some, contact the local council and ask what there policy is.

jiggystick January 25, 2012 at 7:14 pm

do i need permission for the beach

jiggystick January 25, 2012 at 7:32 pm

ok thanks what about beaches

DETECTINGFORGOLD January 25, 2012 at 8:02 pm

@jiggystick , I’m afraid so, without written permission, your trespassing. Buying a metal detector is the easy bit, now you have to find the land.

jiggystick January 25, 2012 at 8:30 pm

do you have to have permission to go into fields as i have just got a metal detector.
