With such a rich history, England is an amazing place to go metal detecting.

You may need a licence on some, contact the local council and ask what there policy is.

@jiggystick , I’m afraid so, without written permission, your trespassing. Buying a metal detector is the easy bit, now you have to find the land.
do you have to have permission to go into fields as i have just got a metal detector.
